Tashi Namgyal Academy is an autonomous co-educational public school in Gangtok, reorganised as a public school in 1966 from the earlier Sir Tashi Namgyal High School. Affiliated to CISCE (ICSE/ISC), it teaches from LKG to Class XII and takes both day scholars and boarders in separate boys' and girls' hostels. Its roughly 12-acre campus at Zero Point includes a science block, a 600-seat auditorium, a large library, an indoor gymnasium, athletic fields and a swimming pool, and smart boards in classrooms.
