Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School traces its roots to the Coimbatore Day School, which opened in 1862 with four pupils, and later to the residential Stanes European High School. It has occupied its present Avinashi Road campus, bought in 1927, since 1928. The co-educational school follows the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus up to Class 12 and admits on merit.
