Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS) was founded in 1996 under the Central Chinmaya Mission. It is a fully residential school on an 82-acre campus on Siruvani Road, near Coimbatore. It follows CBSE from Grade V and offers the IB Diploma for Grades 11-12 as an alternative to CBSE Class XII. The campus has a library of about 19,600 books, a swimming pool, a gym, synthetic tennis and badminton courts, a medical officer and a dental clinic. The academic year runs from April to March, and admission is by entrance test.
