About the School

St. John's Whitehall Higher Secondary School was founded in 1974 by Robert and Jean Street. It has stood on its three-acre site in Nongthymmai, Shillong, since 1976. The English-medium school is co-educational and follows the Meghalaya Board syllabus from Nursery to Class X, with a higher secondary wing for Classes XI and XII. Boarding was its original focus, and separate dormitories for boys and girls sit alongside day scholars. Facilities include playgrounds, a gymnasium, and guitar and digital piano classes.
