About the School

St. James' School is one of Kolkata's oldest schools. Bishop George Edward Cotton inaugurated it on AJC Bose Road in Entally in July 1864. Its admission page describes it as co-educational, and it takes pupils from Lower Nursery upwards, with a separate Junior School block. Facilities on campus include a refurbished field, two swimming pools, a covered basketball court, an auditorium, a science block with laboratories, a computer centre and smart-board classrooms. The school has also announced a new branch.
