About the School
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, is a fully residential boys' school run by the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama on its campus of about 150 acres on Kolkata's southern fringe. Opened in April 1958, it admits boys at Class V in Bengali and English medium and at Class XI, and prepares them for the West Bengal Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. All students live in hostels (Bhavanas), with separate junior and senior sections. The campus has libraries, a 40-bed hospital, a stadium, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and a large hall.
