About the School

Maria Montessori School was founded on 16 November 1985 by Mrs Laila Gatphoh as a pre-school at Moirangkhom, Imphal, and has grown into a CBSE senior secondary school (affiliated since 1996) run by a non-profit trust. Its campus of about 8 acres at Koirengei, near the Imphal-Dimapur road and the Imphal river, covers classes from Baby Class to XII. The school has a library of over 14,500 books, computer education from Class V, in-house nurses and an infirmary, wellness counselling, school buses and around 100 teachers.
