About the School

Bishop Westcott Girls' School was founded in 1921 by Bishop Foss Westcott at Namkum, about 7 km from Ranchi on the Chotanagpur plateau. Once Anglican, it now belongs to the Chotanagpur Diocese of the Church of North India. The English-medium girls' school serves more than 2,000 pupils, both boarders and day scholars. Its site lists a library, laboratories, a knowledge centre, dining facilities, health check-ups, school buses and campus security.
