If your child is appearing for the CBSE Class 10 or 12 board exams in 2027, this is an important week. The window to correct candidate details submitted by schools in the List of Candidates (LOC) runs from 2 to 4 November 2026, according to earlier reports on CBSE's schedule.
What can be corrected
Reports say corrections cover the student's name, parents' or guardian's names and date of birth. Schools make the corrections through the CBSE portal, so parents must tell the school about any error.
What parents should check today
- Student's name: spelling exactly as in school admission records.
- Mother's and father's names: spelling and order.
- Date of birth: matches the birth certificate and school records.
- Subjects: correct subjects and additional subjects.
- Photograph: clear and of the correct student.
These details will appear on the admit card and marksheet, and fixing them later is much harder.
Date sheet: still awaited
As of 1 November 2026, CBSE had not released the 2027 date sheet. Exams are expected from mid-February 2027. Download it only from cbse.gov.in when it is released.
Also note
- Students need at least 75% attendance to appear in the board exams.
- Class 10 has a compulsory Phase 1 in February-March and an optional Phase 2 for improvement.
