The Blue Mountains School is a small co-educational residential school in Ooty, founded in 1961 by educationist F.G. Pearce. It is housed in Dilkhush Mahal, a heritage building from the late 1890s, on a 3.54-acre campus facing the Ooty valley. The school follows the Cambridge curriculum (Centre IN 781) from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Grades 9-10 take IGCSE/O Level, and Grades 11-12 take AS and A Levels in Science or Humanities streams. With around 100 students and a 1:10 student-teacher ratio, it also offers pottery, robotics, dance and gardening.
