About the School
St. Mary's Residential Public School is a co-educational CBSE school in Paliakara, in the centre of Thiruvalla town. It was founded in 1974 by the late Dr. P.T. Abraham under St. Mary's Educational and Cultural Society, a charitable trust, and describes itself as the first unaided CBSE school in Central Travancore. The school teaches LKG to Class 12 and has about 2,000 students, most of them girls. It runs separate hostels for boys and girls, which helps children of parents in transferable jobs. The campus covers more than eight acres and includes a large playground. Students compete in district athletics and inter-school chess.
