G. D. Birla Memorial School is a co-educational residential CBSE school at Chilianaula near Ranikhet in Almora district. It was founded in July 1987 by B.K. Birla and Sarala Birla, originally as a boys' school, and admits students from Class IV to XII. Boarders live in senior and junior hostel blocks with a common dining hall and infirmary. Facilities include physics, chemistry, biology, maths, English and social science labs, junior and senior computer labs, a library, an auditorium, art, music and drama rooms, a gymnasium and courts.
