About the School
Carmel School, Dhanbad is a girls' school founded on 9 January 1956 with 30 pupils. The primary section began at Lindsay Club in Hirapur and moved to the Indian School of Mines three months later. The present site opposite the Circuit House was bought in 1959. The school follows the ICSE/ISC curriculum and takes students from LKG to Class 12, with Class 11 admissions held each year. Enrolment is about 2,400 girls. Facilities include a library and physics, chemistry and computer laboratories. Fees are paid online in four quarterly instalments.
