PickMySchool vs EzySchooling: Which School Discovery Platform Is Better in 2025?

Why This Comparison Matters

Finding the right school in India is one of the most important decisions a family makes. With dozens of cities, hundreds of boards, and thousands of schools across the country, parents increasingly turn to online platforms for help. Two names come up most often: PickMySchool and EzySchooling.

This guide does a factual, side-by-side comparison so you can decide which platform serves your needs better — whether you're a parent looking for a school, a school looking for enrolments, or a freelancer who earns commissions by helping families.

Quick Comparison Table

Where PickMySchool Stands Out

1. The Freelancer Referral Programme — A First in Indian Edtech

PickMySchool is the only school discovery platform in India that lets individuals earn commissions by referring families to schools. If you know families looking for admissions, you can register as a freelance counsellor, refer them to listed schools, and earn a percentage of the admission fee when they enrol.

EzySchooling does not offer any equivalent programme. This makes PickMySchool uniquely valuable for education consultants, retired teachers, school counsellors, or anyone with a network of parents.

2. Boarding School Discovery

PickMySchool has a dedicated boarding schools section with state-by-state and city-by-city pages, making it far easier to find residential schools with hostel facilities. Filters like "has hostel" and "boarding school type" are built into the search.

3. Deeper Geo Coverage

While EzySchooling focuses heavily on Tier-1 cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, PickMySchool has school listings spanning Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across all 28 states and union territories — making it a better tool if you're based outside a metro.

4. AI-Powered School Assistant

PickMySchool's built-in AI chat assistant helps parents narrow down school choices by asking questions about budget, preferred board, facilities, and location — then suggesting matching schools. EzySchooling does not have an equivalent feature.

Where EzySchooling Has an Edge

Longer Track Record in Metro Cities

EzySchooling has been operating longer and has deeper relationships with schools in Delhi NCR and Mumbai, sometimes resulting in more school events and admission fair listings for those specific cities. If you're exclusively looking for schools in Delhi or Mumbai, both platforms are worth checking.

Which Should You Choose?

Choose PickMySchool if: you want broader city/state coverage, dedicated boarding school search, fee transparency, AI-assisted shortlisting, or if you want to earn commissions as a freelancer counsellor.

Check EzySchooling alongside if: you're specifically looking for schools in Delhi NCR and want to compare school event calendars.

For most Indian parents, PickMySchool offers the more comprehensive experience — especially outside the top three metros.
